Daniel A Shade Jr., MD Dr. Shade is director of the AHN Sleep Disorders Center. He treats patients for sleep apnea, narcolepsy, insomnia, hypersomnia, respiratory failure, and COPD. He is board-certified in sleep medicine. His special interests are sleep deprivation, obstructive sleep apnea, and acute respiratory distress syndrome. Dr. Shade received his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he also completed a residency and a fellowship in Pulmonary/Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. He is also certified in pulmonary and critical care medicine. Dr. Shade has been recognized annually as one of the Best Doctors in Pittsburgh by Pittsburgh Magazine. Dr. Shade is also an avid guitarist. He speaks English.
