Dr. Whelan is a faculty physician within the Department of Otolaryngology at UPMC. As a board-certified otolaryngologist with advanced training in both sleep and pediatric medicine, she specializes in the treatment of sleep disorders in pediatric and adult patients. With active roles in research, teaching, and clinical practice, Dr. Whelan has a particular focus in surgical treatment options for sleep-disordered breathing including nasal, pharyngeal, and neurostimulation surgeries.
