    Lynn Ann Mainolfi is a Board Certified Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who graduated in 2013 with high honors from the esteemed Robert Morris University obtaining her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree. She earlier completed her Undergraduate and master’s degree at the revered University of Pittsburgh’s School of Nursing. She has been honored to present her research and clinical findings at national medical conferences. She offers valuable clinical, research, and teaching skills to our dedicated team. She began working as a Registered Nurse in 2002 on an inpatient General Adult Mood Disorder Unit providing care for a diverse population of acutely ill psychiatric patients with a variety of diagnoses including but not limited to: schizophrenia; bipolar, major depressive, and obsessive-compulsive disorders; psychosis related to general medical conditions; dual diagnosis disorders; personality disorders; and substance dependence/withdrawal, and detoxication of patients. In 2004, she transferred to the inpatient Eating Disorder Unit to expand her knowledge and the diversity of her clinical skills. She began working with those suffering from acute Anorexia and Bulimia Nervosa. She was honored as the Professional Practice Council (PPC) Representative for the unit; a group of professionals brought together for their knowledge and problem-solving skills to promote and provide best practice nursing. She also worked within Presbyterian and Montefiore University Hospitals providing consultation and liaison to those suffering from co-morbid medical and psychiatric conditions requiring psychiatric consultation and care. During this time, she was responsible for initial evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment recommendations for psychiatric patients in the medical setting with acute and chronic medical co-morbidities. She became the Clinical Coordinator for all new residents and medical students who came into the department. Upon completion of her master’s degree in 2005, she transferred to an outpatient setting providing care to clients with psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and psychoeducation. She also provided psychiatric consultation services for the Butler County Prison providing those incarcerated with psychiatric evaluations and medication management. In 2016, she joined InVision Human Services, as their sole nurse practitioner, later promoted to Program Manager. There she provided psychiatric management to a diverse range of high acuity mental health patients with co-morbid neurodevelopmental and/or neurocognitive disabilities. In 2021, Dr. Mainolfi joined Summit Psychological Services as part of our astonishing team of dedicated psychiatric and mental health providers. She has extensive experience and clinical training in caring for persons with a range of severe acute and chronic mental illness; offering specialized services to meet our patients’ unique and individual needs with the highest level of care and commitment.

  • Nicole Fusca, Psy.D. - Clinical Director

    Licensed Psychologist

    Nicole is a licensed psychologist at Summit Psychological Services. Nicole is Pittsburgh born and raised, graduating from Washington and Jefferson College with her bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She spent the initial stages of her career working for local community mental health agencies. During this time, her focus was on delivering trauma-informed care in different environments such as in-home, residential, and wraparound settings. Nicole received her master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Carlow University as well as her doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology from the APA accredited program at Carlow. Nicole’s practical experiences included working with a local forensic psychologist specializing in sexual offending as well as working with Allegheny Health Network in their psychiatric partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs. Nicole completed her APA accredited pre-doctoral internship with Pine Grove Behavioral Health Services in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Her experiences at Pine Grove included a therapy-based rotation with the Professional Enhancement Program and Employee Assistance Program and an assessment-based rotation completing a variety of comprehensive psychological evaluations in the Evaluation Center and for the incoming residents to the Gratitude program. Nicole returned to Pittsburgh in August 2018 to complete her post-doctoral residency with Summit Psychological Services and in December 2019 was promoted to Clinical Director.

    Alie is a licensed professional counselor with over 12 years of experience in the mental health field working with a diverse population of adults, adolescents, children, couples and families. Her approach is warm, direct, forward-thinking and personalized with an emphasis on combining cognitive behavioral and person-centered therapies. She works to tailor each patient experience to be both comfortable and productive. She received her bachelor’s degree from Allegheny College in Meadville, PA and went on to obtain her master’s degree from Gannon University in Erie, PA. She has experience working with individuals presenting with a wide range of challenges including: anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, substance use challenges, difficulties with communication, eating disorders and other various life transitions.

  • Melyssa Mercurio, Psy. D., NCSP, MT-BC

    Licensed Psychologist

    Dr. Mercurio obtained her Doctoral degree in School Psychology and Master’s in Child Psychology at Duquesne University. She attended the State University of New York at Fredonia to obtain her Bachelor’s degrees in Music Therapy and Psychology. She is completing her post-doctoral residency with Summit in order to obtain licensure as a psychologist. Dr. Mercurio is a board-certified music therapist, and is presently working towards obtaining her credentials as a Nationally Certified School Psychologist. Dr. Mercurio has extensive experience in psychoeducational testing, assessment, consultation, and intervention with school-aged children with various abilities and needs. She is especially passionate for working with children of all ages, as well as with their caregivers. She regularly collaborates with schools and other treatment providers to ensure comprehensive care. Dr. Mercurio implements an integrative and personalized approach to treatment in order meet the needs of each individual with whom she works. She strives to build positive relationships at the foundation of treatment and incorporates the use of evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), behavior management, music therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches.

    Holly is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She completed her Master's of Science in Counseling Psychology from Chatham University. Courtney is also a Registered Play Therapist – Supervisor (RPT-S) and currently serves on the board of the Pennsylvania Association for Play Therapy.     Ken is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) through the state of Pennsylvania and a National Certified Counselor (NCC) through the National Board for Certified Counselors. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Individual and Family Studies from Penn State University and a Master of Arts degree in Counselor Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Ken has been doing outpatient therapy since 2001 in areas including depression, bipolar disorder, stress/anxiety, and relationship issues. He has prior experience working in community and in-home programs. Ken Is certified in Thanatology (the study of death, dying and bereavement) through the Association for Death Education and Counseling. He has been doing grief therapy since 2006.

    Shelly has over 40 years of experience in the field, having worked for 22 years at Harmarville / Healthsouth Rehabilitation Center and 20 years for Center for Behavioral Medicine / Integrated Practitioners Center. Shelly has experience working with adults and adolescents as well as the LGBTQ+ population and Bariatric clients dealing with depression, anxiety and adjustment disorders. Shelly received her BA from Seton Hill University and her MSed in School Psychology from Duquesne University. She also completed several Psy.D courses through Indiana University of Pennsylvania and obtained her license in 1994. Her warm and compassionate nature focuses on helping the client feel comfortable in working through difficult and sometimes challenging issues.

    Sheila is a licensed clinical social worker who has worked in the mental health field for 40 years. Her work includes doing both outpatient therapy as well as inpatient therapy on the psychiatric unit of a community hospital. She likes doing therapy from a strength based approach as well as utilizing cognitive therapy. Sheila has a Bachelor's degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Master's degree in Social Work specializing in mental health from the University of Pittsburgh.
